New enabling device HD5
With the enabling device HD5, ABB sets new standards in terms of safety when operating systems and machines. Particular emphasis was placed on ergonomic design, taking into account the requirements for hygienic design. The use of high-quality materials in conjunction with the tested protection class IP65 ensures functionality even under harsh environmental conditions such as those found in the food industry. In addition, HD5 has the approvals CE, TÜV-Süd and cULus. With the help of its integrated three-position approval button, the HD5 enables fatigue-free work and improves the safety of people who have to be in a hazardous area due to their work. Other innovative features such as the integrable AS-i bus technology and the optional installation of an emergency stop button ensure individual application options worldwide. HD5 is equipped with additional, freely configurable buttons and signal elements that allow haptic or visual feedback - for example in translucent areas. The integrated auxiliary light offers a special advantage with which poorly illuminated areas can be viewed without additional aids.
