Triton HDR 5.4 MP Model with AltaView Tone Mapping
The Triton TDR054S featuring the IMX490 (BSI) back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor, along with LUCID’s on-camera AltaView HDR tone mapping engine allows for adaptive tone mapping without the need to create your own tone mapping algorithm on a host PC. The Triton TDR054S with AltaView utilizes the full 24-Bit RAW image stream from the IMX490 sensor to produce a low latency 8-bit (RGB or YCbCr) tone mapped image stream that is rich in color and packed with valuable data in the shadows and highlights. This final 8-bit image stream is optimized for mobile sensing applications such as automotive, rail inspection, and autonomous robots.

Triton2 EVS
The Triton2 EVS camera featuring the event-based IMX636, delivers low latency event-based data. This innovative approach involves event-based pixels that are constantly sampling incoming light, generating signals only when there’s a change in light levels, rather than capturing traditional frames. The shutter-free sensor tracks illumination changes, responding with ON or OFF events for intensity shifts that surpasses set thresholds. The creation of the IMX636 and IMX637 sensors was a result of a successful collaboration between Sony and Prophesee, bringing together Sony’s expertise in CMOS image sensor technology and Prophesee’s distinctive event-based Metavision® sensing technologies.
