Current transformer for low voltages
Production at MBS AG currently includes over 10,000 low-voltage current converters in the 0.5 series with a maximum operating voltage of 0.72 kV or 1.2 kV in the case of the CTB type series. All products are manufactured in compliance with the defined technical requirements from DIN EN 61869-1/2, VDE 0414-9-1/2 and DIN 42600. The current version of the standards quoted is used. The main areas of use for our products are mechanical and plant engineering, ship-building, and wind energy. Thanks to our extensive portfolio of products, as well as personalised advice from our team of specialist engineers and sales consultants, you will find the ideal low-voltage current transformer for whatever application you are planning.

Energy meters
The 1-phase and 3-phase energy meters M1Pro and M3Pro Professional set new standards in the field of DIN rail energy meters. The energy meters are available with S0 output, M-Bus, Modbus, KNX and LAN -TCP/IP interface as energy transformer meter as well as for direct measurement with the interfaces S0 output, M-Bus and Modbus. The devices are ideally suited for energy and power measurement, demand and load analysis, energy controlling, cost center management as well as billing applications and energy management according to ISO 50001. All equipment systems devices have MID approval (suitable for billing purposes).

Voltage transformer for low voltage
The low-voltage voltage transformers from MBS AG are especially voltage-resistant and highly efficient thanks to their physical structure. They also offer class-accurate harmonics transmission up to 10 kHz. Our production range includes single-pole insulated voltage transformers for connection between conductors and earth, and dual-pole insulated voltage transformers for connection between conductor and conductor.

Current transformers/voltage transformers for medium voltage
Medium-voltage current transformers for indoor applications that transfer one or more network-side primary currents proportionally and true to phase into standardised secondary currents. These are isolated in cast resin and, alongside their primary function as current transformers, also act as busbar supports. These current transformers can be used both for measuring and protection purposes. The medium-voltage current transformers are also available as multi-core transformers. The maximum possible number of cores depends on the output selected and the accuracy class, which specify the core volume. The current transformers are optionally available with primary or secondary switching. The current transformers with primary switching offer the option of choosing between two primary nominal currents, depending on the connection of the primary connections through parallel or serial circuits. The primary-side nominal currents can be achieved only in a ratio of 1:2. For current transformers having secondary switching, the switching is made possible by one or more pickups. As a result, the primary-side nominal currents can also be achieved in various ratios.

Rogowski coils
The flexible and ultra-thin design of the coils means that they can be easily wound around the current-carrying conductors and plugged together. Simple, fast, and interruption-free installation around busbars or cable bundles is also possible. The Rogowski coil in combination with the QE-485 universal converter offers you freely configurable analogue and digital outputs, as well as an RS-485 Modbus RTU interface. The 3 phase integrator ROI-3 is ideally suited for the output with 3 x 1A. The integrator circuit is necessary to correct the phase position of the passive Rogowski coil by 90°. The Rogowski coils are available in cable lenghts of 3m, 5m and 10m. Other variants possible on request.

Bus bar isolators / -supports
The insulators are unbreakable and have electrical and mechanical properties that allow them to be used even under difficult working conditions, such as at high room temperatures, in contact with corrosive substances, during vibrations, and so on. They are made from red polymer glass-polyester material, reinforced with glass fibre, and are self-extinguishing. The hexagonal middle layer with two opposite sides makes attaching and engaging the insulator easier. On request, the insulators can also be supplied in the following designs: – With a thread not conventionally used in mass production – With one or two “GB” threaded bolts

Measuring transducers for electrical parameters and temperature
The various devices allow all measuring parameters to be logged that are needed to monitor or manage electrical networks and consumers, display their output parameters or take care of measurement and control technology in other devices.Multiple devices such as indicators, recorders or signal-processing systems can be connected to the output. The design of the devices ensures a safe electrical separation between the inputs and outputs for all functions. The main areas of use for the measuring transducers are energy generation, energy distribution, and in systems and equipment construction. The devices bear the CE mark. They offer the maximum possible protection for humans, machinery and the environment, and of course comply with all of the relevant safety regulations. The production of high-quality heavy current measuring transducers has a tradition going back many years at MBS, and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide. Thanks to their self-contained housing, the choice of materials and their design principles, the measuring transducers are protected against the effects of climate (temperature and moisture), atmosphere (chemical processes, dust and salt content), vibrations and shocks, interference (electrical and magnetic), HF effects (radio communications devices) and permanent or transient interference voltages at all electrical connections. SWMU: Optionally, the supply of primary conductor bars (electrolytic copper, nickel-plated) corresponding to the bar window, including screws DIN 933, complete with nuts, washers and lock washers for mounting in busbars or similar is possible.

Current transformer for harmonics measurements up to 20 kHz
For measurements up to 20 kHz, MBS AG offers the entire XCTB current transformer series that guarantees not only highly accurate transmission up to 20 kHz, but is also thermally designed for use on networks exposed to harmonics. The output signals, as is usual on inductive current transformers compliant with IEC 61869-2, are 1 or 5 A. The output specifications also correspond to the usual values. The transformer can therefore also be used in conventional 50 Hz applications. An additional rating plate defines the frequency transmission behaviour. Optionally, the supply of primary conductor bars (electrolytic copper, nickel-plated) corresponding to the bar window, including screws DIN 933, complete with nuts, washers and lock washers for mounting in busbars or similar is possible.

KBR cable conversion current
Current transformer with divisible measuring core for primary nominal currents from 100 A to 5000 A, secondary nominal current 5 A, 2 A or 1 A, in accuracy classes 0.5 and 1. The divisible measuring system allows simple retrofitting into existing systems with minimum installation effort. The locking mechanism on the transformer is opened for the installation process; it is routed around the primary conductor and then re-engages audibly. Once the secondary conductors have been connected, the measuring arrangement is immediately ready for use. Optionally, the supply of primary conductor bars (electrolytic copper, nickel-plated) corresponding to the bar window, including screws DIN 933, complete with nuts, washers and lock washers for mounting in busbars or similar is possible.
