The system is a solution for automated material flow with processing by a third-party machine, based on modern AMR technology, collaborative robotics, and intelligent sensors. The process begins with an AMR (autonomous mobile robot) carrying a workpiece carrier. Before the transfer, a laser sensor monitors the interface. Only when the transfer area is clear does the workpiece carrier leave the AMR and roll along a gravity roller conveyor to the defined position at the machining center. In the next step, a collaborative robot (cobot) takes over the process. This scans the codes on the workpieces. This uniquely identifies the parts and transmits the relevant production and processing data to the machining center. This intelligent part identification enables high flexibility, a wide variety of product variants, and seamless traceability. After successful identification, the components are automatically fed to the machining center and processed according to the stored parameters. Once processing is complete, the collaborative robot removes the finished parts and places them neatly back into the workpiece carrier. Once the workpiece carrier (WT) is fully loaded again, the machine releases it. At the end of the gravity roller conveyor, there is another interface for pickup by the automated material handling system (AMR). The MAE 242983-16 enables a completely autonomous machining step for workpieces, while simultaneously ensuring seamless traceability. This makes the system ideally suited for modern production environments with fluctuating batch sizes, a high degree of product variety, and the demand for maximum efficiency and safety.
