Switched Mode Power Supplies
BLOCK customers benefit from an extensive standard range of switched mode power supplies for the reliable supply of machines and systems. The Power Compact, Power Mini, Power Vision, and Power Eco Line product lines provide both basic functions as well as comprehensive communications and optimum technical functionality. Make the most of the efficient, compact and robust features of the Power Mini and Power Compact series. Geared towards meeting high standards, the powerful switched-mode power supplies in the Power Vision series provide maximum power reserves and extensive configuration and monitoring options. Power Eco Line switched mode power supplies are suitable for single-phase use in small control systems.

Uninterruptible power supplies
Uninterruptible power supplies protect 24 V supply voltages from unexpected power failures. Capacitive UPS solutions from BLOCK’s Power Compact series provide 24 V supply voltage up to the minute range. Featuring ultracapacitors they are designed for long lifetimes. For longer buffer periods, we also offer space-saving Power Compact combination modules as uninterruptible power supplies with battery modules. The intelligent battery management and short charging times ensure maximum system availability.

Electronic circuit breakers
Given the growing trend toward automation and digitization of production processes, there is an increasing need, at control voltage levels of 24 V, to ensure power supply and distribution are monitored as well. Electronic circuit breakers can perform this task. They support selective protection of DC circuits and offer far more tailored protection against overcurrent and short circuits than conventional circuit breakers. BLOCK offers one of the widest ranges of electronic circuit breakers for reliable protection of small control systems – and these can also be used for larger machinery and system arrangements. Both the EasyB modular single-channel system and the multichannel circuit breakers in the Power Compact and Power Mini series set the right standards in these areas, even where applications require particularly powerful, robust or compact products. To helps users find the best possible solution for their application at all times, all BLOCK circuit breakers are available with different tripping characteristics.

Transformer
As components, transformers have a significant influence on the functionality of technical processes and are used in applications primarily to adjust the voltage level. However, their use also enables the configuration of new types of mains. With the help of transformers, downstream equipment can be permanently designed for the same mains form and voltage, regardless of the operating conditions. Our wide standard range of separating, control, safety isolating, isolating and autotransformers provides you with the right choice for the design of your individual systems.

Line reactors
Line reactors reduce low frequency interference (harmonics) and relieve the strain on the supply network through compensation of the distortion reactive power induced by this. The connected consumers are spared by limiting the starting current, thereby increasing their lifetime. The BLOCK standard product range includes series with 3%, 4% and 5% short circuit voltage.

All-pole sine filter
All‑pole sine filters from the SF4 series combine all of the benefits of Future Winding technology. They allow unshielded motor cables to be used and optimize the drive’s EMC performance overall. Common mode currents are reduced with this while leakage currents are also minimized. The SF4 products from BLOCK improve the cooling effect and achieve lower proximity losses thanks to the latest winding and production technologies combined with the latest scientific findings. This ensures that their performance is optimized in particular compared with similar sine filters on the market.

Sine filters
Sine filters effectively protect the motor insulation with frequency inverter drives and thereby extend their lifetime. They reduce supplementary losses and noise emissions from the motor. All-pole sine filters also enable the use of unshielded motor lines. The reduction in common mode currents in the system’s grounding scheme minimizes leakage currents and results in optimum EMC performance for the drive. The sine filter achieves a very high filter effect through precise low pass adjustment to the frequency inverter’s switching frequency. BLOCK sine filters are produced with Future Winding technology and are therefore specifically optimized for performance. They achieve a better cooling effect compared with traditional filters along with lower proximity losses.

Harmonic Filters
Harmonics filters reduce current harmonics (THDi) to less than 8% in order to comply with the limit values required under the standards. This protects the connected network from circuit feedback and increases the system immunity from interference. Aside from optimization of the power quality, the system efficiency is also increased by reducing reactive power consumption and the losses at the line transformer. Your system’s power quality is improved significantly through the use of BLOCK harmonics filters, with reliability and system lifetime also increased considerably.
