Hardware agnosticism: In a UBIQUE system, the controller is simply any multi-core computer – whether x86 or ARM. The same openness applies to I/O modules, drives, safety controllers, and all fieldbus components. This is made possible by the consistent use of open standards such as EtherCAT and CIA 402. Software freedom: UBIQUE enables the industrial-grade use of open source software, even at the OT level. Modern programming languages such as Python, C++, and JavaScript are fully integrated. Young software engineers no longer have to limit themselves to proprietary PLC languages. End-to-end integration: UBIQUE is an automation solution from sensor to cloud across the entire lifecycle. Customers automate their machines and use the same platform for digital services and new business models.

UBIQUE relies on open fieldbus and communication standards to seamlessly integrate sensors and actuators. Configurators and drivers are integral parts of the UBIQUE runtime system and, thanks to its open architecture, can also be extended by customers.
UBIQUE’s multicore, multi‑OS runtime executes sub‑millisecond real‑time and soft–real‑time tasks in parallel on a single controller. Its hardware‑agnostic, cyber‑secure architecture supports compliance with modern regulations, including the CRA.
